What if I already have an existing raised bed garden?

No problem! We come out to diagnose the state of your current garden and make a plan to get it to the Harvest to Home standard to get it producing a bountiful harvest. Soil is the key to any garden and we strongly recommend using at least 12” of our special organic soil (plants take nutrients in the first 12”). Pricing is standard and itemized but irrigation will vary upon the situation. You can send in pictures and measurements to get an idea on pricing but an at home consultation is the most thorough.

Does the garden need to sit on top of soil or can it go on concrete?

Most garden sit on soil but we do offer raised beds on stilts to accommodate any situation.

How tall is the wood for the garden?

Plants take their nutrients in the first 12” so this is our standard height. But we ca build the beds at that height. 18” or 24” are two common heights, the benefit to a tall bed is more good soil and you won’t have to bend over to garden.

How does the irrigation system work?

We use irrigation that is specifically for edible gardens, these can be installed off of a existing valve or hose spigot. We can also install a new valve, timer, or whatever is needed for your situation.

How much sun do I need?

The more sun the better! But at least 5 hours of direct sunlight. Some plants like lettuce and greens don’t need as much. Plants like tomatoes or cucumbers that produce fruit need more energy from the sun to create fruit.

How many plants can I fit in my bed?

This depends on what you would like to grow. You can fit 10 lettuce plants in the space it takes to grow 4 tomatoes. Our designers can help you make the right decisions for you and your family.

This totally depends on the plants. You can fit 10 lettuce plants in the space you can fit 4 tomatoes. A 4×8 is a standard size, a 4×16 will give you enough space to grow everything you would like.

What about pests?

Our maintenance team are experts on combating pests. We have enclosures, fencing, organic sprays, and to help ensure solely you and your family are enjoying the harvest.

What if I build own bed?

No problem! We can fill it with soil, fertilizer, amendments and plants. We would need the size, pictures, irrigation situation and plants of choice.
