Kale is a hearty wonderful plant that will provide a considerable harvest from your garden. Growing Kale is easy, once mature each plant will produce multiple branches that shoot out and produce the kale leaves. Let the plants grow for 3-4 weeks (or until the plant is 15-20 inches in height or the leaves are about 12 inches in length). Harvest the leaves and stems off the stalk from the bottom up. Each stalk will provide a large serving of kale. The shoots will continue to grow up the plant throughout the season. Kale will sometimes attract white flies & caterpillars. Applications of Essential Oil and “BT” are recommended.
