The Minneola Tangelo has few seeds and a juicy, rich, tart and unique taste. It is a medium to large round fruit with orange flesh and medium skin thickness. It is a hybrid of the Duncan Grapefruit and the Dancy Mandarin and was developed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and released in 1931. The Minneola Tangelo tree grows vigorously to a large size and does well in a variety of regions.
